PROCEDURE TO FACTORY RESET ROKU

The factory reset of Roku can be done in two methods. They are as follows:

• Soft method
• Hard method

SOFT METHOD

Some changes will occur in your Roku device using this method. Personal preferences will be gone and your Roku device will not be in the link with your Roku account. Moreover, your Roku will be reset as it was before the setup. You need to perform the setup process once again.

PROCEDURE TO PERFORM THE SOFT METHOD

Proceed with the below instructions to perform a factory reset using the soft method.

·         To start with, press the home button on the Roku remote.

·         Then select Settings.

·         Nextly click system.

·         Now choose Advanced system settings.

·         click the factory reset.

·         Finally, confirm whether to continue the factory reset. If you are sure to do the factory reset then enter the special code in the space given.

The factory reset will begin successfully.

HARD METHOD

In case if the system didn't restart and also if the soft factory reset didn’t work then go for the hardware factory reset. 

PROCEDURE TO PERFORM THE HARD METHOD

·         Find the reset button on your Roku device. Now press and hold it for about 20 seconds.

After the factory reset is complete, the indicator on the Roku device will blink. Therefore release the reset button.
